Guessing why your website isn't ranking is expensive and slow. A thorough SEO audit finds the exact technical issues, content gaps, and authority problems holding your organic traffic back, with a prioritised plan to fix all of them. No filler. No fluff. Just the truth about your site.
Most businesses that aren't seeing results from SEO have the same problem: they're investing in content, links, or technical work without knowing which specific issues are actually suppressing their rankings. They're treating symptoms instead of diagnosing the underlying cause. An SEO audit is the diagnosis. It tells you, with specificity and evidence, exactly what is wrong with your site and exactly what needs to happen to fix it.
A thorough SEO audit covers three layers: technical health, content alignment, and authority signals. Technical issues are the foundation and must be resolved first because they can silently negate the impact of every other SEO investment. Content analysis identifies keyword targeting gaps, cannibalisation, and intent mismatches. Authority analysis identifies the link profile gaps and E-E-A-T signals that are preventing your pages from competing in their target keyword categories.
I am Zaid Ali, an independent SEO specialist based in Islamabad. I run a thorough technical SEO audit at the start of every client engagement because it is the only way to know what the real problems are before proposing solutions. An audit I deliver is a working document, not a vanity report: every issue is documented with a severity rating, an impact explanation, and a specific resolution. My full technical SEO service is built on the audit methodology described on this page.
Every issue I identify in an audit comes with a specific resolution: the exact change needed, the file or setting it applies to, and the expected impact on rankings after the fix is implemented. You receive a working action plan, not a long document of observations that leaves you no closer to understanding what to do next.
A comprehensive three-layer audit covering every technical, content, and authority factor affecting your organic rankings. Nothing generic. Everything site-specific.
Every audit I deliver is a working document built for action, not for impressiveness. Every issue documented. Every fix specified. Every priority explained.
Every technical, content, and authority issue found is documented in a prioritised register with its severity rating (critical, high, medium, low), the specific URL or page group affected, the exact impact on your rankings, and the specific fix required. Issues are ordered by impact so your developer's time and your budget go toward the fixes that produce the most improvement first, not toward low-priority checklist items that have minimal ranking effect.
Full Action PlanA plain-language summary of the audit's key findings, the three to five highest-priority issues to address first, and an explanation of the expected ranking impact of resolving them. Written for business owners and marketing managers, not just for developers. The executive summary gives you a clear picture of the state of your site's SEO without requiring you to read every technical detail in the full issue register.
Plain LanguageA comparison of your site's technical health, content depth, and authority profile against the top three to five competitors currently ranking above you for your primary target keywords. This benchmarking contextualises every issue in the audit: a technical problem is more urgent when your competitors have already fixed it than when they share the same issue. It also identifies the specific gaps that need to close to make your site competitive for the rankings you're targeting.
Competitive ContextFor every technical fix that requires developer implementation, I provide exact specifications: the specific file or configuration to modify, the exact code or setting change needed, and a verification method to confirm the fix is working correctly after deployment. For clients without a developer, I implement fixes directly where access is provided. Nothing in the audit requires a second conversation to understand what needs to happen or how to make it happen.
Implementation ReadyA sequenced 30-day implementation roadmap that breaks the prioritised issue list into weekly actions, ordered to produce the fastest possible ranking improvements within the first month of implementation. Critical and high-severity technical fixes that directly affect indexation and Core Web Vitals are scheduled in week one. Content and authority improvements are sequenced based on which target keywords are closest to ranking breakthroughs.
30-Day RoadmapEvery audit is followed by a walkthrough call where I take you through the key findings, answer questions about specific issues, explain the expected impact of the priority fixes, and discuss how the findings inform the broader SEO strategy going forward. If you are choosing between continuing with SEO independently, hiring internally, or engaging me for an ongoing retainer, the walkthrough gives you everything you need to make that decision with full information about your site's actual situation.
Included CallFrom the initial consultation to a fully documented, prioritised, implementation-ready audit. Delivered in five to seven working days for most sites.
Read-only access to Google Search Console and Ahrefs view-level access provides the data needed for the full audit. You retain full admin control of your accounts at all times. I do not need CMS or hosting admin access for the audit phase itself. If you choose to engage me for fix implementation after the audit, that access can be shared then. The audit requires nothing that puts your accounts or your site at any risk.
Most audits are delivered within five to seven working days of receiving GSC access. Larger sites with more than 10,000 pages or complex multi-store or multi-language configurations may take seven to ten working days. I give a confirmed delivery date before the audit begins so you know exactly when to expect the document and walkthrough. There are no vague timelines and no surprises about delivery.
After the walkthrough you have three options: implement the fixes yourself using the developer-ready specifications in the audit document, pass the document to your existing developer or agency to implement, or engage me for ongoing technical SEO and content work to implement and build on the findings. There is no obligation to continue. The audit is a standalone deliverable. Many clients use the audit to evaluate other agencies and specialists, which I am entirely comfortable with.
The results below came from sites where a thorough technical audit was completed first and its findings were implemented before content or link building work began. In every case, the audit identified specific, fixable technical issues that were silently suppressing the site's ability to rank regardless of the content and links already present.
An audit's value is not in the document itself. It's in what happens after the findings are implemented. The sites in these results improved not because the audit was good but because the problems it found were real, the fixes were specific, and the implementation happened correctly. That chain of events is what I build every audit to enable.

An SEO audit is the right starting point in some situations and not the most valuable investment in others. I'm direct about which is which.
What a specialist-led audit delivers that an automated tool or a generic agency report does not.
Automated SEO audit tools produce hundreds of issues without distinguishing between a missing alt text on one image and a canonical misconfiguration that is diluting the authority of your entire product catalogue. I prioritise every finding by its actual impact on your organic traffic: the issues that are directly blocking indexation or causing significant ranking suppression are marked critical and addressed first, regardless of how many lower-severity items appear in the same document. The structure of the audit is designed to make it obvious what to do first, second, and third.
Many SEO audits are produced to look thorough and justify an agency's retainer rather than to actually enable implementation. They're long on observations and short on specifics. Every issue in my audit includes the URL or template affected, the exact fix required, the expected impact after the fix is implemented, and the verification step to confirm the fix is working correctly. A developer can take the document and begin implementing without ever speaking to me. That is the standard I hold every audit to.
A Shopify store has different technical SEO challenges from a WordPress site, which has different challenges from a Magento store or a headless PWA. The issues I flag, the severity ratings I assign, and the fixes I recommend are all specific to your platform, your site structure, and your competitive situation. I do not apply a generic template audit to every site and change the brand name at the top. The analysis is specific to what is actually present on your site and how Google is actually crawling and indexing it.
The audit I offer as a standalone service is the same audit I run at the start of every ongoing SEO engagement. It is not a simplified version produced as a sales tool or a lead magnet. The methodology is the same, the tools are the same, and the deliverable format is the same. If you commission a standalone audit and later decide to engage me for ongoing SEO work, the audit becomes the foundation of that engagement rather than something that needs to be redone. The investment in the audit applies directly to whatever comes next.
Audit pricing depends on site size, platform complexity, number of languages or store views, and the depth of competitor analysis required. A 50-page service business website is a different scope from a 50,000-product Magento store with multi-store configuration. I scope the audit in a free 15-minute consultation and confirm the price in writing before any work begins. No surprises and no padding the scope to inflate the fee.
